Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most biologically diverse forests. It is home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, over 350 bird species, 120 mammal species, and hundreds of tree and plant species. The forest’s misty hills, deep valleys, and ancient vegetation create a magical atmosphere, making it one of Uganda’s most treasured natural wonders. 

Day one: Travelling to Bwindi 

After breakfast, you will be picked up by our guide to start the journey to Bwindi viaMpigi, Masaka, Mbarara, and Kabale. Along the way, you will enjoy beautiful views of Uganda’s countryside, rolling hills, farmlands, and local communities. We shall make a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe for photos and brief information about the Equator. Lunch will be in Kabale, surrounded by scenic highland views. After lunch, we proceed to the hotel near Bwindi for dinner and overnight. (The hotel depends on the sector where trekking will take place.) 

Day two: Trekking the mountain gorillas. 

After a very early morning breakfast, we shall proceed to the UWA offices for briefing and then drive to the trekking point with packed lunch and water. Trekking will take about 5 to 8 hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas. The walk takes you through the dense and misty Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to mountain gorillas, birds, and other wildlife. Lunch will be taken during trekking. After the trek, you will be awarded certificates and then drive back to the hotel for relaxation, dinner, and overnight. 

Day three. Drive back to Kampala. 

After breakfast, we shall proceed on our way to Kampala or airport, you will see scenic views of banana, tea and coffee plantations. A stopover for lunch in masaka depending on our schedule.
