3 DAYS TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
Lake Mburo National Park is Uganda’s second smallest savannah national park, located in western Uganda. It is known for its beautiful rolling hills, open savannah, acacia woodland, and a chain of lakes that attract abundant wildlife. The park is home to zebras, impalas, buffaloes, elands, topis, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species, making it ideal for game drives, nature walks, and boat cruises.
Day one: Travelling to lake Mburo national park After breakfast, you will be picked up by guide and begin the journey to Lake MburoNational Park. The drive takes about 5–6 hours from Kampala or Entebbe Airport, viaWakiso, Mpigi, Masaka, and Lwengo. Along the way, you will enjoy scenic views of the Ugandan countryside, including rolling hills, local villages, farmlands, and roadside markets.We shall make a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe for photos and a brief explanation about this unique geographical landmark. After the stop, we continue directly to Eagle’s Nest Safari Lodge for lunch and relaxation, offering panoramic views of the park. In the evening, you will head out for an evening or night game drive, depending on the schedule, before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day two: Game drive/ nature walk and boat cruise After an early morning breakfast, we drive to the park gate to pick up a ranger guide for a game drive or guided nature walk lasting about 3–4 hours. This activity offers great chances to spot wildlife at close range while enjoying the peaceful scenery of savannah plains, acacia trees, and lake views.After the activity, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. At around 1:20 pm, we drive to the boat cruise point for a 2- hour boat cruise on Lake Mburo. The cruise offers stunning views of the lake, hippos, crocodiles, water birds, and surrounding landscapes. Later, return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Day three: travelling back to Kampala
After breakfast, you may enjoy a short morning game drive to increase your chances of spotting more animals. Thereafter, begin the journey back to kampala or Entebbe airport, enjoying the scenic countryside views along the way. A stopover for lunch will be made before continuing to your final destination.
